Speech Therapists
Job Description
Treat individuals grappling with communication problems associated with the voice, fluency, language and speech, most often caused by accidents, cleft palate, delayed development, mental retardation, hearing loss, emotional problems, cerebral palsy, brain injury and stroke. Able to work with children with Autism, behaviour disorder, hearing loss and with special needs. Using our specific sound therapy tools of Tomatis and TLP.
Qualifications
Must have a BSc (Hons) degree in speech and language therapy
Must be registered under the Health Practice Commision of the Cayman Islands
Have current CPR certification or be able to obtain within 3 months.
Must have at least 3 years working in the relative field
Fluent in Spanish and English would be a plus.

Occupational Therapist
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Occupational Therapist will be to provide services to children in the Birth to Three and Pediatric programs. This role will be responsible for the evaluation of the child and the implementation of the treatment plan. The Occupational Therapist must use our psycachoustically modified sound therapy in the treatment. The Occupational Therapist will also be responsible for appropriate communication (verbal & written) with service coordinators, family members, insurance
companies and physicians.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor of Science degree from a college or university having an accredited school of occupational
therapy.
2. Currently registered by the Health Practice Commision of the Cayman Islands or eligible for licensure.
3. Completion of a pediatric affiliation/internship or pediatric experience with developmentally delayed
children preferred.
4. Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) certification preferred, but not required.
5. Have current CPR certification or be able to obtain within 3 months.
6. Physical ability to lift and transfer children (minimum of 25 lbs.)
7. Ability to participate in handling and floor activities with children.
8. Working knowledge and use of assessment tools used in the evaluation of infants and children.
9. Basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, Excel, internet).
10. Must be willing and able to “bring caring to life"
12. Must be able to implement the use of Tomatis and TLB in the therapy sessions.

- Minimum of 3 years, post qualification, professional experience in in early years settings with a demonstrated track record of successful teaching and learning
- Experience of teaching in a child-centred learning environment with an emphasis on an activity-based approach emplimenting psychoacoustically modified sound therapy with differentiation for individual abilities depending on the case.
