At this point millions of neurons in various locations of your brain are waking up to help make sense of what you are hearing. Auditory tonal processing is a basis for more complex levels of auditory sequential processing, which is the ability to receive, hold, process, and utilize auditory information using our short term and working memory. Sequential processing functions are fundamental to speech, language, learning and other perceptual skills. The ability to interpret sound efficiently provides the neurological foundation for these sequential functions. Many people who have experienced auditory processing deficits have seen their sequential functions return and even improve when proper tonal processing is restored.
The purpose of MFM is to enhance the functions of the ear and brain naturally while providing a pleasing listening experience through the music of Ostad Elahi. The programme is based upon psychoacoustics - the study of how humans perceive sound. By combining unique psychoacoustics techniques with improvisational music and nature sounds, MFM exercises both the ear and the brain. Theses auditory aerobics facilitate improvement in auditory tonal processing and ultimately enable you to improve your communication skills, musical abilities, and learning potential.
